"Hero"
Under Construction
Originally aired November 13th, 1993
"The Commish" began in 1991 and lasted 5 and a half seasons, until January 1996. It centered around Tony Scali (Michael Chiklis), the police commisioner of a relatively quiet suburban town, where everything seems to be colored in pastel hues. "Commish" is a perfect nickname for a guy like Tony, who's friendly as cartoon bear, but can be as menacing as a real one when he needs to be. Police headquarters is a cozy place, and if somebody's grumpy, there's usually a reason for it we will soon discover. No hand-held cameras on this show! Though each story has a crime at its center, I find this program strangely relaxing, and you might be surprised how many famous guest-stars it's had over the years.

Noelle appeared in the first half of the third season. Her character, Monica, had been mentioned previously as the girlfriend of Officer Stan Kelly (Geoffrey Nauffts), and in this episode she finally makes her appearance.

As we shall see, she's also the "Hero" of the episode's title, bailing out her boyfriend in a fight, much to his embarrassment.
