. . . and in walks Cliff (Andre Nemec), a former classmate of Dante's. He's getting ready to join a prestigious law firm after graduation. He's not impressed with Dante's career choice.
Cliff had dated a friend of Veronica's, but only because she wasn't available herself, since she was in a relationship with Dante. Veronica is delighted to see him again and sounds flattered. Dante is nervous and gets insulting (as does Randal, naturally). Why are you acting like a jerk towards him, she asks Dante. He seems like a really nice guy.
He's a narc, declares Dante ("narc" here meaning snitch; Cliff had joined in on one of Dante's pranks, then chickened out and informed on him). "He's charming and he's motivated" says Veronica, "You're still stuck in high school!" She walks out in disgust.
Dante comes up with a ridiculously elaborate plan. He finds out Veronica is attending Cliff's big graduation party. He crashes it and challenges Cliff to re-enact their former prank: painting the water tower.
Veronica follows them all and climbs up to stop them, when suddenly the police show up.
