Alex decides to take the edge off her midlife crisis by going shopping, and brings Norma, her producer, along. Norma tells her to act her age, but Alex keeps picking out young girl party dresses. Reed shows up, also with a handful of party dresses, which she explains are for a business get-together. Alex is very proud her daughter has become so responsible, so she agrees to pay for her dress. Alex then selects a pink number for herself, which she thinks is perfect, until Reed comes out modeling exactly the same one.

Reed's "business" party is going quite well. She instructs her employees/friends on the advantages of their new positions as escorts. They call the shots. They decide who they want to be with, and when, and where. "From now on, you're the boss. Well, actually, I'm the boss . . . " And as boss, Reed won't deduct any taxes, or "FICA, whatever that is!"

Cat comes home from a brutal day of being singled out by her drill seargent as a weak female who needs extra training. She's too tired to even get angry, so she just orders everybody out immediately. Naturally, the site of a cop makes these lawbreakers eager to comply.

Even with Cat's interruption, it was a successful evening. After a long night of partying, Reed's tired, but it's a good kind of tired.

Next morning, Cat starts to pick up all the garbage strewn about, but Reed tells her to forget about it. Today we'll be ladies of leisure and hire a cleaning service. Who's going to pay for it? Reed hands Cat enough cash to cover six months rent. "Where'd you get it?" Cat wants to know. Reed grins: "Let's just say I sold a few assets!"
